12:30 PM PST - Quant Pivot lines:  Neutral =6145 / 50  H1=6155 (FIBONACCI!) H2=6160   —  CLOSE -6173.07  NEW ALL TIME CLOSING HIGH

 

Today, there was a massive amount of MOC orders (5 BILLION) plus Russell Index rebalancing, so the SPX jammed up into the close for a Moby Dick Parabolic Day!

Also, it is end of quarter on Monday, so there was a lot of action with the SPX taking out the previous all time high and making a new closing all time high too.

The 12:30 PM PST QP CALL strikes were outside my max spends, but what an impressive move they made into the close.

However, the 6150/55 "half" "Fibonacci" strikes are ALWAYS in play




I traded the H2 and higher strikes once I new there was a massive multi-billion dollar MOC BUY imbalance!

 

 

I traded the 6170 CALL options, but bought in way too ealry..., and dang it!!!, I did not "layer" this time, and their value dropped to $0.05. However, when the 12:50 imbalances were posted, the SPX started to surge, and these options skyrocketed to $4.90, ultimately cash settling at $3.07!

I attempted to cancel my take profit limit order, but the price moved so fast, the system took me out and kept on going—I left the other 2 on for the cash settlement close.
